An accepted Frostrail playtester can invite up to three Steam friends from the Steam game page. After an invited friend joins, that player can also invite up to three more people.

Send an invite
- Confirm you have accessThe invite control belongs to accepted playtesters. A pending Request Access entry is not enough.
- Open Frostrail in SteamUse the game page in the desktop Steam client and look for Steam's Friend Invite feature.
- Choose an eligible friendSelect the friend you intend to invite. Steam controls delivery and eligibility; this site cannot issue keys or invites.
- Have the friend check SteamThe recipient should check Steam notifications and the Library for Frostrail Playtest, then install the current build.
- Repeat only within your allowanceThe official launch post allows up to three invitations from each accepted tester.
Why some players cannot see the invite button
The public Steam store lets people request playtest access, but the Friend Invite option is for accounts that have already been accepted. If Steam still shows only Request Access, wait for an acceptance notification or ask an accepted friend to invite you.
Do not buy a key or share account credentials. The official beta notice describes Steam's built-in invite flow and does not authorize third-party key sellers.
What happens after your friend joins
The invitation chain is intentionally broad: each newly joined player can invite as many as three more Steam friends. That can grow a crew quickly, but the in-game group remains designed around one to four players.
Access and multiplayer connection are separate steps. If the Playtest appears in your friend's Library but the crew cannot connect, use the co-op troubleshooting guide instead of requesting another invite.
Timing and access limits
The current beta ends on September 7. The official post does not promise that unused invites remain valid after the test or that beta access automatically becomes an Early Access license.
Frostrail is still listed as coming to Steam Early Access in Q4 2026, and its launch price has not been announced.
