Short answer

One beta tester reports that every player in a server should stay current with tutorial and quest objectives, and that searching an area before the prompt appears can block progression. No complete public quest list or developer response is available yet.

Run beta quests conservatively

  1. Compare objectives before leavingAsk every crew member to read the active tutorial or quest step and name any difference.
  2. Follow the prompted orderComplete the objective the game currently displays before searching a new marked area or advancing the route.
  3. Keep the crew together for triggersWhen possible, let all players enter a quest area and observe the update before one player runs ahead.
  4. Stop after a missing updateDo not keep clearing the map if the expected objective fails to advance. Capture the current state first.
  5. Send a reproducible reportInclude host/client roles, objective text, area searched, action order and whether a new session changes the state.

What the current report actually says

The Steam post says everyone in the server needs to stay up to date on available quests and tutorials. It then describes a point where the server cannot progress if a certain area is searched before the game prompts it.

The report names no quest, location or recovery method. It has no replies. This guide therefore preserves the useful ordering caution without inventing a quest name or claiming that every server will encounter the block.

Why crew synchronization matters

Frostrail supports one to four players, while the May development update describes a new tutorial level, additional tutorial objectives and progression between levels. Those systems create several places where a host and clients may need to receive the same state update.

A simple voice check before interacting with a new objective is less costly than trying to reconstruct which player triggered which area. It also produces a clearer report if the quest still fails.

What not to do when the quest stalls

Do not claim that completing every map activity will force the objective forward; there is no evidence for that. Do not delete saves, edit files or use a third-party trainer during a beta investigation.

Use Frostrail's in-game bug report button. Testers can also compare notes in the Playtest-only Steam forum, which may contain more current developer guidance than the public General Discussions page.
